Norwalk, CT - In a true example of a public/private partnership for the good of the neighborhood, Fairfield County Bank has generously donated furniture to the Friends of the Norwalk Public Library.
“The furniture from the Wall Street office has been a boon for the Main library,” said Christine Bradley, Library Director. “We have been able to replace tables and chairs that have been well-worn since the eighties.”
Ralph Bloom, a Norwalk Public Library trustee who first made contact with Fairfield County Bank Branch Manager Janet M. West, said, “this is furniture that the bank no longer needs since they are remodeling, but from which the library can benefit.”
“Thanks to the bank’s generosity, we have been able to upgrade the First Taxing District Conference Room, the Innovation space on the main floor, and the administrative offices on the mezzanine,” Bloom continued.
Stop by the library to experience our handsome and comfortable new furniture!
