Norwalk, CT - On Saturday, October 14, from 9 – 5 p.m., the Norwalk Public Library will participate in Indie Author Day 2017, by hosting more than 40 authors from Norwalk and other Connecticut towns. Indie authors will have the opportunity to come together in the library to help local self-published and independent authors get discovered, and for readers to find new books written by fellow community members. Readers will be able to chat with authors, who will do brief readings and presentations. Copies of books will be available for sale and signing.
The Norwalk Public Library is pleased to join libraries across the United States, Canada, and even the United Kingdom in planning programs to celebrate local independent and self-published authors all on the same day.
As part of the Indie Author Day program, librarians will offer demonstrations of PressBooks and Self-e, tools the Norwalk Public Library offers for self-publishing.
This program is free and open to all. Refreshments will be provided courtesy of the library.
Indie Author Day, October 14, will be a day to celebrate the written word, to celebrate
storytellers and to celebrate our Connecticut writers.
To register for this program, or for additional information, please contact Cynde Bloom Lahey, Director of Library Information Services, at (203) 899-2780 ext. 15133, or firstname.lastname@example.org.
