As the new snowstorm was moving into our area, Norwalk Mayor Harry W. Rilling declared a snow emergency city wide that began at 8:30 p.m. on Sunday. Vehicles should be moved off the streets that are marked as snow emergency routes or risk being ticketed and towed. More information can be found at www.norwalkct.org/snow. The city asks people, for safety, to limit travel during the snow storm. Drivers are also reminded to clear their vehicles of snow and ice before driving. Overnight parking is available at the Yankee Doodle and Maritime Garages. City buildings will open at 10 a.m. on March 4, 2019 while garbage collection will continue as scheduled. Norwalk Public Schools will be closed on Monday, March 4. © Copyright by ConnecticutPlus.com.
